View Full Version : Danase New Wash Review (Pictures Included)
Danase New Wash arrived as a sample Bob included with my Monday order. I've been anxious to try it.
Since it was a sample, it came in a 4 oz plastic cylindrical bottle with a flip top lid. The label was eloquently hand written.
Danase New Wash has a strong grape scent.
It's consistency is about average for a wash soap: thicker liquid, definitely pourable.
Doesn't seem to be the type of product that would clog the pouring spout
Since the sample was about 4 oz, I decided to put it all in a 5 gallon bucket for the test wash. It foamed well, on par with the good wash soaps I've used.
The test truck being used was recently polished then sealed with Meguiar's M21 Synthetic Sealant. It was rained on once since then and this is its first wash.
Using my nicest sheepskin wash mitt, I began washing the rain droplets/dust off the truck. The mitt easliy ran across glass, paint, and chrome surfaces. Danase New Wash seemed to provide good lubricity, hopefully eliminating potential for marring.
Pictures of the sheeting and beading both before and after washing.
The paint felt just as I'd expected it would after using Danase New Wash. The product rinsed easily and continued to smell like grape all the way to the drain.
This is a good product that works well and should suit a variety of users. Considering that Bob prices products fairly, I'm sure it will be a good product for the money spent.
The only polarizing fact about the product is the scent. It didn't bother me, but I'm sure some people who don't like the grape flavor, er, taste  er ... scent  wouldn't enjoy this.
Scents don't sell a product for me, though. Results do and this one gave me the results I expected.

Looks great. I love grape smell too. I really think a pleasant smell is an important factor. Did it seem to rinse off easy?
Edit: Good timing, we must have been typing at the same time... lol

Just to reply to the scent... I agree that I won't buy a product for the smell, however I will quit using a product for the smell. The last new wash I tried had a strong cherry cough syrup smell, it was fine at first but then working in the garage after I just couldn't take it anymore.

My view exactly.

Washing the vehicle with Robitussin isn't your idea of good finish care? Sometimes you have to take the medicine if you want the cure

I've been using for 2 weeks now and I do like it as well. I agree with the Robetusin smell but hey, it looks damn glossy when it's done. I use it with a foam gun and then use a MF to wash and it lubes reallllly nice. :D
The labels are done on my end for the new soap and the new polishes. I just have to get them to the press and wait. :)
