Ok, if you have TWO colors you think would make a good color scheme for the new forums please let me know what they are. Links to other forums with colors you like will be good too.

Thanks!

I think the color we have now is great! Goes perfectly with the main sales site. I vote to keep this color.

I like the default colors it comes up with now:

It's blue like the Phat and WD MF's

I like the color too but the new site isn't going to be directly linked to danase.com. But the colors might stay the same.

I still like the color scheme I mentioned yesterday. It had a darker background and light text or maybe light gray with black text.

Black with a lot of chrome

Actually, if you do anything, keep away from colored typing and reading areas.

While ones eyes can adjust, those tend to be forums that don't work for people.

The scheme at detailingforums.com is the final. I found that template yesterday and Brad installed it and it looks really clean and professional I think. :)

I notice some spam and porn creeping in on this site so I hope you have a "report" button on the new board for when those type of posts show up.

The new forums has a feature to eliminate most of that spammers. :) It will have a report button and all of that jazz too. V Bulletin has so many more useful features that PHPBB, but for free PHPBB rocks!

Yes, they will remain the blue and white scheme.

The new site will have a report post button but it also has a feature installed that I've found quite useful on a forum that I run. It measures the time from when the registration page loads and the submit button is hit. It would take a human a minute or two to fill out, these spam bots do it in seconds. When the form is filled out in < 15 seconds, it basically shuts them down and emails the admin.

My website used to have multiple bot signups per day, now I think I've had 5 spammers (obviously real people, not bots) since I upgraded and that's been probably 6 months or so. It's definitely a great upgrade.

Black is the BEST color hands down if detailed properly.... LOL

Any color easy on the eyes for us guys who live on the detailing sites 24/7...
No need to go blind just yet.

My favorite vbulletin navigation features are:
1, view new posts
2. mark all posts read
3. view today's posts

I like the blue, but have a hard time reading the yellow words (New thread page).

Agreed, everything looks great but I'm not real fond of the yellow for new posts. It's hard to read against the white background.

Yellow is too hard to read.

It's a bit bright (blue/white combo) especially at night when I'm up. I like this set up (actually option) to tone it down
http://forums.stangnet.com/forumdisplay.php?f=66
Dark Blue (bottom left hand side for option) back round and white letters.
