Detroit roads/driving Grrrr...

So driving to Detroit Opera house last Sat. for a concert we get stuck on the 696 (I think) it was by inkster rd. it took us 1.5 hours to move 4.6 miles!!!! all because of an accident....that they could have shut down one lane for NOT friggin 3 of the 4 lanes!!!I think that was the only time abi (my wife/ex-wife soon to be/Still my best friend- dont ask its complicated :?) said I could drive 120 mph to make up lost time. We had budgeted that extra time for dinner before the show...ended up eating a hotdog at Johnny rockets (ummm yuck).

The Opera house is nice though. We went a few months ago for a Doo Wop concert.

its ok...it was in the making for the last 3 years. I have come to believe and accept that we are ment to be in each others lives even if it is just friends. The good thing about this all is that we are civil and value our friendship so much that it has not been bitter. We dont hate each other or anything its just we havent been on the same page in our lives for the past 3 years. The effects took their toll on the marriage. We have not ruled out the possibility of getting back together in the future, but there is a lot of work that we have to do to ourselves before even thinking about where we want to go in life- either together or just friends.
