I've got a Toshiba Portege 4010 laptop that I'd like to sell. It is pretty much bone stock the way it came. Here is a review on it from cnet. (http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/toshiba-portege-4010-pentium/4505-3121_7-20761097.html) It has a clean install of XP Pro as well as Office 2003 on it currently. It has a Pentium III-M 933 MHz processor, 256 MB RAM, and a freshly formatted 30 GB hard drive with XP Pro reinstalled as well as the Office 2003 suite. The battery is showing a little above 3 hours of life with the wireless on and surfing the internet and listening to a CD. It has a DVD drive with CD rewrite capabilities. Included will be the AC charger, but that is about it.
This is a great laptop if you like portability. I just compared it to a file folder I had sitting here and it is the same size. Folded up it is about 8 1/2 x 11 like a piece of paper. It is the thickness of a pack of cards or maybe a pack of cigarettes. And as far as weight goes, I've had text books that are heavier. It is really the ultimate in light weight portable notebooks.
The reason for the sale is that I recently bought a new computer and this one has been gathering dust. I figure I might as well see if anyone here needs it for their kids or themselves before putting it up on the local classifieds. I'll post pics later, but that link shows what it looks like. It has a silver exterior with the black keyboard and screen surround. The only wear on it shows a little on the lid and a little bit on one of the stickers near the keyboard. I've never had a problem with it crashing, overheating, or anything else. A clean reformatted hard drive with SP2 and all available updates installed will ensure against any old issues with viruses or anything. Let me know if you have any questions. Right now I'm just taking offers. I'd like to get $250 out of it, but we'll see. If anyone wants to offer me $270 shipped then I'll have it in the mail the day the payment clears.
