When detailing my white Mitsubishi Eclipse, I generally go in the following order:

Wash (twice if needed), clay, paint cleanser (if needed), compound polish (if needed), finish polish (if needed), AIO, Sealant.

If I wanted to try some Danase Wet Glaze, where would it be inserted in this line up? Before or after the AIO?

I would skip the AIO and use Wet Glaze in it's place. If you are polishing I don't see the need for a AIO cleaner.

Hmmm. I thought I would want the AIO for a nice base for the sealant to bond to.

Most of the time it is said that sealants won't bond over a glaze, but give it a try. Otherwise I've also heard of people putting a glaze over the sealant.

I vote for glaze over sealant. Sealants are temporary agents used for depth, and no more. Some include a little protection, but if used as a protectant, apply monthly.

Patrick, what are you saying?

Use the Wet Glaze then top with your sealant or wax. I haven't had trouble with either bonding to the Wet Glaze. I think Patrick got his fingers tied up. He will probrably fix it in a few.:)

Patrick, don't you mean, "GLAZES are temporary agents used for depth, and no more. Some include a little protection but if used as a protectant, apply monthly"?

So use between AIO and LSP or skip AIO like BlueZero said.

I would use Wet Glaze first and top it with your choice of sealant. :)

So use it between the AIO and LSP, before the AIO, or skip the AIO all together?

I just used Wet Glaze after SAII and SAI. Put Danase Paint Sealant over it and it looks great. Rained at lunch today and beaded up very nice.

How would I tell if the sealant didn't bond?

If you are claying and polishing then I would skip it. I one more step if you do it. It won't hurt to skip the AIO. In the end it what will make you feel better.

Wow, I did mistype didnt I!!
I have never physically (unless using a nuba) understood how you could apply something filled with oil and possible fillers, then expect a synthetic to adhere. Adding a little Wet Glaze atop a cured synthetic is stunning. Adding a little Wet Glaze to a synthetic is also sweet. According to the label on Bobs Wet Glaze, it even has some durability, so apply monthly. I have a perfect test bed for it also, my metallic red 00' Expedition, which I bought used about 2 years ago and has some fading going on, on the hood.
One of these days when I have time, I will actually wash it and try it!

I think b/c it has an acrylic base which helps it play well with sealants.

If your going to use wet glaze do you need to strip off the sealant first before applying wet glaze?

No, the Wet Glaze will help maintain whatever you have remaining on your surface.....I love the stuff.......
