Leaf Blower

Just got one, I splashed a gallon of water on the hood of my car, turned the blower on, did alright. I will have to find my groove. I will especially like it in the nooks and crannies where water seems to hide and then roll down the car and leave marks.

I bought the cheapy one at Wally Mart for 27 bucks. We shall see. I will wash the Alti later today when I get home and let you all know how it went.

I don't see how people can like drying whole vehicles with a leaf blower. I've never had much luck and there is still a possibility of scratching the paint with the end or kicking up dust / dirt onto the paint.

Personally, a WW towel to blot dry and an air compressor with a blower attachment for the cracks and crevices is the way to go. But that's just me :).

Anytime you have moving air you have the possibility of kicking up dust, etc. I usually use the leaf blower for just the cracks. Maybe an air compressor is a little more precise.

I like it because it gets water out of the cracks. I have a terrible time with water left over in my mirrors. I don't actually try and dry the car with it because it's too heavy and I don't want to drop it on the car or something. I just take a quick 5-10 minutes and hit the entire car to get rid of most of the water.

Well I just tried it and it worked great on the Grand Prix, but on the Alti, it was fair to midland. It only cost me 26. It worked great on the windows and the cracks/grills/tires/wheels.
