I'm curious to know your opinions about the Dynabrade adaptor. Did you not like its performance and that's why you sold it? Does it actually work? How does it compare to a normal DA?? Is it bad for a rotary? Thanks!
Welcome!
I thought that was a set of springs in your avatar. I get it now! LOL

Yeah, I love my #16 springs; they make my Sable handle 100x's better than the stock ones....hahaha...
Anyways, I got the item at an outrageously cheap price ($55 shipped). At first, I wanted to try it out, but I recieved it and decided against the idea.
I have a 9227CX3 and really like it. The problem is that the Dynabrade head adds 3lbs to machine - it's basically a solid chunk of aluminium. Besides, I already have a 7336.
As far as how it works, I really can't tell you. Joe of Superior Shine had one, but sold it to one of his employees. There are a few threads about it on MOL. Supposedly, it acts like a supercharged dual action - keeps 90% of the rotary's power, but you have to run it at the upper rpm range.
Personally, I would buy a Dynabrade head instead of purchasing a Flex.
Just to note, the Dynabrade head comes with a GIANT backing plate so you can use it with 8" pads. The thread is a 5/16, so you can swap it for any standard dual action backing plate.
The guy I sold it to uses a Milwaukee rotary - the heaviest of the bunch. Talk about being a heavy machine when used with the Dynabrade!

Cool thanks for your thoughts. If someone has a rotary I guess you might as well get comfortable with it. What's nice about the adaptor is that it is D/A forced rotation and your not paying $300 for a Flex. But a D/A machine is needed when the rotary is perfected.

Unfortunately, I can't get these any more for the $55 shipped price.
