I'm not very good at this. I think the forum slogan should have as many descriptive words as possible. That way when someone does a "Search", the search engine will have an easier time picking up the words and a better chance to lead someone here.

There is so much that goes into how to hit the search engines that just having some key words in the slogan won't make much difference I don't think.

Bob should buy advertising that brings up Danase and Detailing Forums links when Ultima is googled-lol.

What do you guys think of Danase Forums.com "forums with flare"

Bob:
I still think the slogan should be representitive of the description of what the forum is about.
If you do a "Google Search" of flare it does not generate anything for auto detailing.

Really the slogan should have no pull on where the forums fall in search engines. The slogan will be an image with the new logo and won't help in search results anyway.

This one says just enough and it is catchy.

Thanks for the help so far everyone!

A few things...

I kind of want to stay away from ultimate in the name or anything else that might be close to certain product lines.

I also want to stay away from words like "shine" just because proper detailing is so much more than just making the paint shine.

I also want to keep it the slogan short.

How about... DetailingForums.com ....

"detailing excellence"
"the detailing community"
"detailing knowledge base"

maybe
"excellence in detailing"

Ah, never even crossed my mind (which is good in the grand scheme of things). Makes a great deal of sense.

Short, bold, and very applicable. I like it for those reasons.

Does it say enough? Something says that it might be lacking if you're trying to use it for drawing in more of the online-detailer crowd. Then again, it's just a slogan and not a complete mission statement, product list, and declaration of the DetailingForums Bill of Rights.

"excellence in detailing"

If you want to make it more encompassing, morph this into "Complete Detailing Excellence".

To me, this says it's a site dedicated to detailing in general, not just the enthusiast or just the professional.

I am liking this one. I think it does a good job at describing the site. I think when I said slogan I really didn't mean a catchy phrase. The more phrases I looked at the more I liked this one.
