Hey all!
Read about this forum on Autopia and decided to join. I'm a member of 4 forums and have had this OCD disease for a few months now. I'm mostly a hobbyist but have detailed a few friends cars on weekends for money. Not much, but money nevertheless.
I have a PC, a Bosch 1370DEVS, a Harbor Freight rotary, mostly Meguiar's products, some Black Magic, an XMT finishing glaze, and a partridge in a pear tree. What really brought me here is my new-found interest in DWG. Everyone's raving about it and I'm sure I'm going to order soon....if I can sneak it by my wife! :)

I find detailing stuff the easiest to sneak by the girlfriend
Booze and computer hardware is a whole other story though...

Anyhow I digress, welcome to the forums

Well detailing keeps me around the homestead most of the time I'm not at my day job.

It's relaxing for me and I get to spend time outside.

I go a little nuts if I don't get to detail once in awhile. I took some time off last week and the first thing I did when I got the time approved was call a regular client and let him know that I'd be available Wednesday afternoon for a detail. lol The rest of the week went so much better after I got that out of my system. I seriously think they should prescribe detailing instead of antidepressants. :)

Welcome to the Detailing Forums!! We love OCD detailers here. Well, I do anyway. :D I think you'll find the same quality of information here without all the drama that you find on huge ginormous boards like Autopia. I was one of the original members of Autopia and one of the first moderators for a couple years. That place used to be like Detailing Forums is now. It takes awhile to gain the momentum, but every large forum like that started out with the high quality content that is going into the smaller ones like us now. Your participation and obsession is welcome here!

Hmm! I wonder how you got into that DWG? ;) Don't worry about wifey, all you have to do is order something for her from sephora.com to be delivered the same day as your DWG.:D

Actually, it would get lost in the numerous deliveries that arrive for her. That's my leverage...."Well, YOU order things!" :)
