I got this with the intention of using it while detailing. However, I found that with the glasses I wear it doesn't work very well. This headset sort of pinches between my glasses and my ear, so it isn't as comfy as I thought it would be. If I take my glasses off then it fits fine, but I wouldn't get much work done if I couldn't see. My depth perception is totally screwed up without my glasses, so I guess I'll have to find another wireless solution to my music blues. :)
I paired it with my phone and was able to listen to music with it. I have a bluetooth transmitter that I connect to my MD player and that is what I listen to. I didn't like having wires getting in the way of things with my headphones, so I decided to go wireless. These sounded great and it gave me plenty of reasons to really love bluetooth. :) I just put the player in the deep pockets of my apron and go to work. I have also used this in my house with the same transmitter to connect to my stereo when I'm playing my Playstation and I don't want to wake anybody up. It is great to be able to play it loud without worrying about waking anybody up.
On one charge you are looking at about ten hours of use. Standby time is 200 hours. This can be paired to up to 8 bluetooth compatible items at once. I had it paired to my phone and my player. When a call came in I could just push a button and it would answer the call and cut the music out.
This has been sitting in my garage in the package for several weeks now not really doing anything. I am going to post them for sale on the local Craigslist, but I figured I'd give you guys a shot at them first. They retail for about $130 unless they are on sale for $99. You can charge them off any usb connector, but it does come with a wall charger that I never opened. It will contain the charger, instructions, original packaging, and the headset. I only used it for less than one full charge worth before I decided it wasn't the best choice for my situation. If I had different glasses or none at all then I wouldn't have any reason to part with them.
I never got any feedback on the call quality, but I could hear people fine. I would imagine it is less than a headset with an exposed microphone, but I really don't know. I've never been on the other side of the conversation.
I'm selling for $60 shipped to my DetailingForum buddies, so let me know if you are interested. I'll be posting them on Craigslist this week as well, so I'll let you know if someone else snatches them up. I've done my best to describe them, but feel free to post any questions you have.
