Hell everyone. I have been out of the "game" for some time now. I use to be a big time Zaino user when I had my black Mustang. Since then that car is long gone and I really have not done much with my cars now, 99 Accord and 94 Mark VIII. I am ashamed to say that all I really do is run the cars through the car wash we have at work and once in a while pay a detailer there to wax the cars. They look good for a lil while but I know I can do it better. Well anyway that is my story :D

Welcome to the site.

Those Mark VIIIs were such nice cars...have good memories of those from when I was in the automotive business.

Are you here for the fun of it, or are you going to get back into working on your own cars?

It's a friendly group here and people are very helpful-post away!

I have always worked on my own cars but mechanically. To be honest I have put no effort into cleaning my two cars besides the car wash we have at work. I use to clean the mustang ALL the time lol, used mostly Zaino everything. Now I want to get back into it for the fun of it. Now my head hurts debating on products to use. Zaino did a great job on my black mustang. Then I heard lots of godo things about Danase Wet Glaze so I started lookin at just that, then I was looking at the Wet Look kit, but now the super shine has my eye lol.

Excellent looking pair there

Is the customized Lincoln trunk logo indicative of some mechanical modifications?

That is a logo used by LincolnMotorsport.com My trunk emblem was faded and his kit was the cheapest lol. The engine in the Mark VIII is the 4.6 DOHC which was alter put into the Cobra. The only real difference in the 96-98 Cobra engine and the Mark VIII is camshafts, crank and intake.

I wondered if you'd put the Cobra upgrades on the 4.6 in your Lincoln. I'm familiar with the basics, though I've never had one of those engines totally torn apart.

The 4.6 is a solid engine in all its forms, though. Look at all of them in the Panther platform with 100s of thousands of miles: taxis, police cars, and personal cars, trucks, and vans.

I plan on doing some work to the car. Forged internals, 04 Cobra heads, 98 Cobra cams, 01 Mustang 4r70w trans, gears and hopefully a KB supercharger.
