I'm a curse for this car. Or maybe it is the other way around... Every single time I have touched it the sun has gone down or it has rained. Today was a fantastic day for detailing, but it got overcast before I finished and I couldn't get the quality of pictures I wanted. Grrrrrr..... I've done this car four times now and I've never been able to get really good pictures. I did my best this time though.

Process:

wash with NXT soap
clay magic and Danase Turbo Shine as QD
Light polish with Danase Swirl Abolisher I
Danase Wet Glaze with Polycharger

Tires and wheels cleaned with Danase Assassin and shined with Four Star Bazooka
Glass done with Invisible Glass
Trim done with Four Star Rubber/Vinyl protectant

I neglected to get any interior shots, but it was clean too. I used Leather RX on the seats and Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer on everything else. I finished it off with Four Star Rubber/Vinyl protectant. The carpets just needed vacuumed, so no product used there.

Ok, on with the pictures.

Here is the fantastic microfiber apron available on Danase.com in action. It is an awesome detailing accessory that I don't know how I lived without.

The paint on this sucker is so clear it is amazing. It is like a mirror when it is polished up.

Ok, I'm done now. :-) I couldn't resist posting what I was able to get. Even though the lighting is absolutely awful, it still was good enough to show off how great it can look. The owner was speechless and said it looked better than when it was new. That is saying a lot considering that this was the guy who wouldn't let me touch it when he first got it because he felt that it can't get better than new. He has brought it to me a couple times after being given the opportunity to prove him wrong. All I can say is that it is cars like this that got me involved in detailing to begin with and it is always an honor to detail a performance machine like this. Thanks to Danase for the awesome products that really do the curves and paint of this 997 justice!

Looks great. Is that your little boy teaching himself a heel-toe downshift while you're polishing out the door?

I was going to ask if that was the owner. ;)

LOL The owner isn't a whole lot older. ;) Erik likes to help me out while I'm detailing. He was just evaluating the condition of the interior before planning what products to use. ;)

Did you beat your kid man?! He's got no band aide while in the car and one on outside the car. Who's doing the work?! HAHAHAHA!

Looks great as always.

I didn't even notice the band-aid thing. lol He must have gotten some product on a scratch he picked up the other day and it started to sting. He really is a good helper. I don't have anybody in my crew that can detail wheels like he can and that's the truth. I dressed the tires, but the rest of the wheel was detailed by him. Not bad for a 4 year old, eh?
