I've had this truck for two years and the only time I've been able to really give it the attention it deserves is the day I bought it and once for spring cleaning last year. It really has been a neglected vehicle because of the color. This silver hides everything. Just to give you an idea, here is a before and after of the hood. It is sooooo hard to see the swirls without having a light reflecting directly back at you. I've got some halogen parking lights in my garage, so everytime I walk by it I see them and it drives me nuts.

It is hard to photograph them, but that is how silver is. It always looks great when it has a coat of wax or sealant on it, so I haven't paid much attention to the need for clay or polish. This time I did the works though. Spring cleaning is always fun. :) I washed, clayed, and polished. I tried to use the Flex, but that backing plate is just spitting black particles all over the place that I really don't want to be using as extra abrasive, so I switched back to the PC. I used a yellow cutting pad and Danase Swirl Abolisher III. Amazingly enough there wasn't any haze to polish out afterwards. I spent a lot of time on each panel, so maybe it broke down enough that it polished the haze out by itself. Or maybe the silver is just the right color and it hides it. I really did look hard for it though. So did my backup helper. ;)

Here it is after all was said and done. I put a coat of Danase Paint Sealant on it because I was in a hurry and didn't really want to go through the trouble of Klasse SG. DPS gives a similar shine in much less time. I'm putting on a Polycharged coat of Danase Wet Glaze tomorrow just to top it off. That should make it really wet looking.

You gotta love how silver glows with the DPS. I haven't used many products that will do that on silver that are as easy to use.
