Today I finally had some nice enough weather in MN to detail :D
I washed my Lightning for the first time since Oct, it hasn't been driven either though.

I broke out the new goodies today(Danase Wet Glaze and Paste Wax). My wife got them for me for fathers day, but gave them to me early.
I didn't pull it out in the sun for any pics, so this is all I have for now.

Back to the products, I think they are both great so far. Easy on and easy off. The DWG really does make paint look wet.
Great blue on that truck! Does the Wet Glaze make the metallic flake sparkle?

Love those trucks and that color is great. More pics please
Love the Lightning! That was on the top of my list to be the replacement vehicle when my truck lease is up but the Lightnings hold their value like no other Ford and they are hard to even find.

Thank you for the compliments. I was lucky enough to snag the last 2004 Sonic Blue Lightning in MN brand new in June of 2004.
I haven't had the truck in full sun to see the flake yet, so I'll get back to you on that one.

I'll try to dig up more pics soon.

Good to hear I have a truck still worth something for once ;)
My truck has 14,000 miles on it and is really close to flawless. It is also really fast. My friend has a 2005 Mustang GT with some mods (3.73's, Intake, exhaust, tune, and good tires) and my lightning will pull away from him still, as long as I get some traction :()

I use a Cam Spray foam cannon with a gas pressure washer (2.2 gpm 1700psi 5hp)
For soap, I have gotten really good results with Megs shampoo plus mixed with some turtle wax Zip Wax. I mix about a gallon of diluted soap at a time about 16 oz of soap to 100 oz (aprox) water. The foam cannon has a dial that you can use to change the amount of soap being mixed in. I usually set is in the middle.
Here is the cannon

I live on a gravel road, I like the faom cannon for presoaking all of the irt off the cars. You wouldn't believe how much grit hides in all of the cracks and crevices. A presoak helps pull it out so it won't drip out as you dry (scratch ).
