Product Name: Shinning Monkey Polish

Product Container: Small test sample sent to me by Bob

Product Labeling: There was none on this bottle, but I did get a chance to see a full bottle label. I believe they need to do a little more with there instructions. I think they need to put on more info then 1,2,3,4 and that’s it. Does the product need to haze before removal? At least they did say to wipe it off.

Product Performance: It worked excellent. It is not an aggressive polish, but more on the lines of SSR 1 or 2, or Megs #9. It went on really easy and removal was super easy. I was using this with my rotary and some Meg’s soft buff 8” pads.

Product Characteristics: I forgot to check and see what it felt like between my fingers, to see what the grit was like. So sorry. I can tell you that I didn’t experience much of a dusting problem. I really like that. The product broke down quickly with my rotary and a polishing pad. I could really smell the petroleum in this product also.

Product Price: Very reasonable.

Product Safety: Do not drink. Heck I wouldn’t even sniff it again. They need to do something for the smell.

Would I buy this product in the future, YOU BET! I don’t believe it would ever be a stand-alone product, but a good addition to anyone’s arsenal. One final thought and that is I’m not sure how it would work in sunlight. Might be something you want to check into.

Thanks! I am glad others are getting a chance to review this and try it out. Shining Monkey has been a slow seller for us, probably because they are new, but I use their stuff all the time and have great results as well.

I am going to have to go out again and try the polish...I forgot all about the sample that was sent to me...what RPMs on the rotary did you use Don?

I would only be guessing on this, but I would have to say somewhere around 1200-1500. I believe my rotary tops out at 2700-2800. I was less then half way open on the switch.

Give the stuff a try, I really didn't have any dusting problems. I was using it next to some 1Z, and the 1Z had dust everywhere.

Bob have you had any dusting problems with it?

I used a PC with a white polishing pad and did not notice any dusting problems. :)
