We use a mild wheel cleaner at work that, can be used on paint ect for tough to get spots like tar ect. I found it works well on windows as well if they are covered in bugs. I just spray on then pressure wash off...

The other day I used one of our parttimers wheel cleaner, which I didn't know he mixed in actual wheel acid in with his cleaner...So now I had this milky looking steaks down the windshield of this car, and nothing seems to be taking it off. (ie tried Ammonia, Solvent, Kero)

Any suggestions???

I've seen wheel acid etch glass to where it needs to be replaced and nothing can fix it but new glass.

Once it eats into the outer coating of the glass, it's ruined.

I tried to fix one like that when I was newer at fixing other shops mistakes.

My desired results didn't happen and I went home mad that night until I learned more about how windshield glass is made.

I was also glad it wasn't my mistake or windshield to replace :p
