Product Name: Fireman's style hose nozzle
Product Container: Mine had no container.. I'm testing! ;-)
Product Labeling: None
Product Characteristics: The nozzle is black and smells like rubber.
Product Performance: I had high expectations for this nozzle. I've been using one of those nozzles with the twisty bezel that lets you pick the type of spray and I sort of looked at this one as superior. I do like the fact that it's heavily sheathed in rubber and looks to be built very strong. You probably won't need to buy a 2nd one of these.
That's where the good stuff ends. For one, it's not a one handed operation type item which sucks since I usually have a mitt one one hand and it's sort of hard to twist like that. When you open it up to turn it on, the water's under such pressure it shoots out in a hard uncontrollable stream like a fire fighter hose (duh). I found that I had to turn it on facing the driveway so it would get the initial spray of water out and adjust the intensity then point it at the car. After about 5 minutes of use, I went back to the other nozzle. If this had a 2 way close mechanism like others I've seen, it might be a lot better.
Product Price: $14. We sell these in our store and I think we'll be searching for a replacement that works better.
Product Safety: You could probably club someone in the head with this if you had some need to. It would be an effective thug sedation device ;-)
