I am about to attempt new brake pads and rotors tonight after work...I will be de-viriginized to auto repair
Eh.. that's easy stuff.. As long as it's disc's all around, you'll be good.

yeah the 6 is discs all the way around....I gotta start somewhere so I figure why not save $200 from what the mechanic said it would be. $266 (front rotors and pads) in parts vs. $475 for them to do it :)
$266 for front pads and rotors seems super high to me.

cheapest I found for my car :( internet searching and all...I wanted to keep ceramic pads (I hate cleaning wheels) so that was a little more than normal and the rotors ran $90 a piece- NAPA was running around the same price as FoMoCo replacements so I just went with them.
My mechanic quoted me $475 to replace just the front brakes pads and rotors and I almost fell over laughing at him...then I realized he was serious. The prices I found are almost the same as he quoted me for pads and rotors.
So I did it myself tonight after watching a guy at work do one side. I did the other all by myself :)
It was pretty simple right?
I like doing brakes.. brakes and replacing suspension are my favorite things to do to cars :-)

yeah, it was a little too easy for my comfort...no swearing and cussing...I thought something must not be right :D but it worked out great.
next stop yanking the engine lol. j/k
Lucky you have all disc brakes! I do now but my Civic did not. I attempted the read drum brakes one night and it was a nightmare! I don't know why cars still come with these piles of crap drums! :P
