Another big winner that I've recently tried. This is definitely one of my new favorite interior products.

Name: Optimum Protectant Plus

Product Container: 17 oz blue plastic spray bottle. Not sure if I got a defective sprayer or they are all the same, but no matter how I turned the nozzle, it would not spray a mist, but only a direct jet blast. This resulted in product ending up on the windows, which can be a pain to clean. I took care of this problem by changing the sprayer. The bottle fits comfortably in your hand.

Label: Nice label with adequate instructions on the back.

Product Characteristics: It is a slightly viscous beige colored liquid with a nice leather scent. I love the scent of this product, it is subtle and stays behind for a while. The scent is especially nice if you have leather seats, which will increase that nice new leather scent in your car. This made it a huge + for me and a major reason why I am keeping it.

Product Performance: Cleans well, but probably a notch behind 1Z Cockpit Detailer in cleaning abilities and not as versatile, but more than enough for vehicles that are well kept. If you need something with stronger cleaning abilities, I would recommend and APC diluted to the appropriate ratio. OPP leaves a nice matte finish instead of an oily greasy look. It does repel dust better than other interior cleaning products I have used. After using this product, I noticed less dust on my dash board at the end of the week.

Product Price: $11.99 from Bob if you are on the East Coast or $12.89 from Patrick if you are on the West Coast. A bit more expensive than 1Z Cockpit Premium, but not as expensive as other interior cleaners/protectants such as 303 or Sonus. IMO, very well worth the price.

Product Safety: Although the instructions read that you can use it on leather, I prefer to clean and protect leather only with dedicated products. Do not use on your navigation and be careful not to get it on your windows or you will end up grabbing for your window cleaner. My recommendation would be to use it solely on vinyl and to spray it directly onto and MF first to avoid getting it on the windows.

Give it a try, you might like it more than Meg #40.

To minimize getting interior dressings on unintended surfaces, I started applying interior dressings by moistening a terry cloth or mf applicator with the product then wiping. I like to do this on leather seats as well with the cleaner and conditioner. Meg's Interior Quik Detailer has a nice sprayer. I plan to reuse it when it is empty.

Hmm I like the price points but as my other post (you are the one who pointed me to sonus) I love the cockpit detailer.

With Black interior the dust repellent Sonus properties are gr8,u think this repels dust better than Sonus? and Sonus you can apply on all interior. some on the window not an issue comes off easy no window cleaner needed just mf wipe off, cleans my wood too. both Cockpit detailer and UV (w 2 der wunder applicators) for 18$ and it goes a long way...

PS - I AM only going to invest on flex, LC pads and the polish cleaner so STOP publishing more gr8 product reviews!

I still use Cockpit Detailer and do love that product still and yes it has that advantage over OPP in that you can use it on almost all parts of the interior, while OPP I would only recommend for the vinyl. What I love about OPP is the leather scent is leaves behind, so in fact, what I have been doing is using Cockpit Detailer first, then finishing off with OPP for that nice scent. From what I have seen so far, I think OPP might have slightly better anti-static properties than Cockpit Detailer, on vinyl at least. OPP is definitely not replacing my Sonus Cockpit Detailer, it is just one of my new favorite interior products that I will be using in conjunction with Sonus. So don't worry, you are good with Sonus. I am just a product junky and I like to try new ones. I actually did not purchase OPP, but it was one item of many that I won on another forum for that Camaro I detailed.
