Ok, I have been using this stuff a lot lately for some long term test so here is what I have came up with.
1) Product Name: Four Star Professional Rubber & Vinyl Protectant
2) Product Container: (What sort of container did the product come in and what do you think about the container?) It comes in a clear 32 ounce bottle with a sprayer. Standard professional line bottle. I dropped it several times and it held up just fine.
3) Product Labeling: (How does the package labels seem to hold up to things such as water that you would encounter while detailing? Does the label give clar instructions?) They hold up great to getting wet and they still look new. Nothing peeling off or anything.
4 Product Characteristics: (What color is the products? How does it smell? What is the consistency?) Product is semi white/clear. I swear it has no smell. My allergies have been bothering me lately but from what I can tell this product has no smell at all. My only complaint is that is it runny. I usually spray it on the dash and doors directly and you have to get to it pretty quick or it will be dripping.
5) Product Performance: (Does the product perform to the manufacturer's claims? Was it easy or hard to use per the instructions?) Performs exactly like the label says. It leaves a clean finish that is not shiny at all, which I like.
6) Product Price: (Do you feel that this product is a good buy and worth the price?) Price per bottle seems excellent to me.
7) Product Safety: (Do you feel that the product could be used by any person, professional detailer or weekend warrior, in a safe manner without damage to the vehicle or themselves?) From my experience it is perfectly safe. Just don't eat it or use it to shower in or something.

Do you think this is a good all-purpose dressing for tires/underhood/vinyl?
I am looking for a good protectant that will do it all :)
whadda think?

I would not use it on tires I don't think. But for under the hood, I did a quick job on an Escort last week, and it seemed to be good for under the hood as well. No real under the hood test besides the quick once over i did though. And no tire testing either. Sorry Scott. :(

Another safety concern is to avoid using it on brake/gas pedals. Slicks things up!

Seems to last a fairly long time too. (The look, not the slipperiness.)

Good point BigLeeger. ;) And yes, it does seem to last a good amount of time.

The quart sized bottle is a very solid value. It performs well on a number of surfaces. I've tried using in on interior dash surfaces, on tires, and in wheel wells. Inital appearance is very good, though durability is slightly less impressive.

When it comes to gallon or 5 gallon sized containers, the product loses some if its cost competitiveness.

I've just used it recently on one of the trucks here at work.
I didn't care for the look that it gave on the tires, but gave the look we were looking for in the interior (clean but not glossy).

I guess I will have to continue to look for an inexpensive dressing for he tires.

J, you might want to try Four Star Professional Bazooka Tire Gloss.

Also, this product is 100% fine for tires. I use it on them all of the time now. It is water based so it last as long as you would expect a water based tire dressing to last.
