Product Name: Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound 105 (Product number M10532 for the 32oz and M10501 for the gallon.)

Product Container: Typical Meguiar's Mirror glaze line container. Works good and serves it's purpose.

Product Labeling: I don't foresee any problems with the label wearing off or becoming smeared. I put some water on the label and worked it to try to get it to smear with no luck, it appears to be coated with a clear protective cover. Instructions are clear and straight forward.

Product Characteristics: Product is a thick gel white in color. The smell is a chemical smell, not to strong. Not a big gripe but I would love it if they would throw in some scent. One thing I like about using Danase SAII is the pleasant smell.

Product Performance: The product is recommended for hand or rotary use. Not for DA use. The product works absolutely amazing by hand. Under door handles and hard to reach areas are no longer a problem. I haven't used the product with a rotary. I did try it with a DA and it was working great but then started to get gummed up a bit. I misted my pad with some Last Touch and it seemed to help a little bit. It was 90 degrees out and I was working in partial sun on my black Jeep so I'm sure the surface was too hot.

Product Price: The msrp price is $30 for 32oz and $90 for the gallon. It can be found retail for about $24 and $70 respectively. That comes to $0.75 and $0.55 per oz. It's in the middle for price in the polish world but with top of the line performance. I ordered the 32oz bottle from my local auto parts store but when I run out I will be picking up a gallon.

Product Safety: The Meguiar's cut scale was 1 to 10 before this product was released. This polish changed the scale. The new scale is 1 to 12 with M105 being a 12. I think it is safe to use by hand and occasional use with a DA. With a rotary however based on the cut scale I would imaging you could end up through the clear pretty quick if you’re not careful.

Here are a few photos of testing I did with M105 by hand and 2500 grit sanding marks.

Here we have the test spot ready and waiting.

After one application by hand. I worked it with a Meguiar's yellow foam pad for about 15 seconds. Looks pretty darn good.

Removed the tape and hit it with the Brinkman.

Thanks for the review, did you do any sort of wipe down before that picture?

I did not. Are you thinking like a IPA wipe down? That's not a bad idea, I can do that this weekend.

Exactly what I was thinking, something to make sure that there's no polish residue hiding residual defects or that sort of thing. I'm looking forward to seeing your results.

I'm looking forward to seeing your results.

Results are still coming. lol

My practice panel was in the corner of the garage behind a bunch of lumber and a few bags of cement. Sunday I got the garage organized and the panel is out ready for a wipe down. It's covered with sawdust so I'll be careful to do a good wash first. Just too many projects around the house.

lol, no worries. I finally got started on making up a couple replacement fence posts today that I was planning on having done in May so I completely understand.

Just give it a good wipe down with a dry cotton towel and it should be good for another test.;)

Ha, same project for me too. I put up part of the fence but then realized there would be snow on the ground by the time I finished. I hired a place to do the rest. Two days and they were done. Not sure what I'm going to do with half a dozen extra bags of concrete mix now. lol

lol, That's not a bad idea too. I'm sure that will add plenty of swirls for me to practice on.

I'm very fond of this product. MotorCity turned me on to it. It's fast and effective although it is not a diminishing abrasive so it needs to be worked differently than the Menz I'm used to.

lol, no one even wants to touch this job (I can't blame them). Took me 2.5 hours with my drawknife to get another post shaped properly after making rough cuts with a table saw.

As for the concrete, might I suggest:
