View Full Version : Garage flooring
What do you guys have on your garage floor? I'm looking to get a couple of ribbed rubber mats, if I can find some locally for a decent price. I just want something that will catch the snow and mess from the cars in the winter without making a mess in the garage.

I'm sort of in the same position. By spring time my garage floor is a mess with dirt and crap that drips off the cars in the winter. One quadrant of the garage is a really slick cement too, so whenever there is water it gets really really slippery. It just happens to be on the side that you walk on to get out the door too, so I'd really like to look into doing some sort of floor treatment in the future. Something that doesn't get slippery when it is wet would be great.
I'm searching for rubber mats that go down on the floor and keep the mess and water from spreading. But at almost $200 for a piece of rubber I'm looking for something cheaper. LOL

I'm interested on an epoxy floor, anyone try one?
I don't own an epoxy coated floor myself but from my experience they can get slick unless you use a sand mix in it, but that makes it a little harder to clean. I was in a shop that had a U Coat It (I think thats the name) floor with sand mixed in traffic areas and it was a very nice floor.
I know some of the cheaper coatings eventually crack or wear off.
