Winter is finally here ( a bit late) and it look's like it might be a brutal one this year so I guess it's time to break out the ol' snow tires. These are just the stock wheels for my Durango with some all terrain tires that I use to take the punishment of winter and added traction in the snow.

The test subject......

Ok so the front of the wheel's are not very dirty but enough to see a difference once cleaned. I honestly can't remember what tire dressing I have on those thing's but whatever it is it's been on since last march.

Product soaking for 30 seconds as per direction's on the bottle......

Now comes the fun part! I did some stock RX-7 wheels the very first time I used this product that had the same amount of brake dust, etc on them and I let it sit for 90 seconds rather than the recomended 30 with almost perfect results. Those wheels also sat in my storage shed for a few years and theyre back in again.

The back side of the wheels........

I did an awsome job for what was there with no scrubbing at all after just 30 seconds. I decided to give it a quick scrub without the Assassin this time.

Scrubbing action.........

The product broke everything up so well that when I gave it a quick scrub the grime vanished instantly.

I was going to do a review on the Swirl Abolishers but it was raining when I finished and the customer picked up the truck so didnt get a chance to take after pictures, I think a review is better with pictures.

Can anyone recomend a decent camera for everyday use?

I've had Sony, HP, and Canon and the Canon is the best one I've had. Batteries last forever in it too.

Assassin is a nice product. Cleaned up my inner wheels great. Just make sure you are in a well ventilated area when using it. If you inhale the mist your nasal membranes will itch for a minute or so.:p

Is this product Alkaline based or Acid Based. How does it work with uncoated metals?

Cheers,
GREG

Acid, and you won't want to use it on uncoated metal wheels.

I will only use water based on my graphite polished ALLOY wheels.

bought ps21 water based cleaner for an initial clean (worked well it was a new car with new brake dust on it)--and since than i am using Carnuba wax (others advised to use the paint sealant so i may try my ultima PGP next application) to coat the wheels every month or so.

With this coating I wash it once a week, ((every 2 in this winter--45 degrees today oh yah---i rehooked hose up and washed outside no more salt sand crap! ahhhhh!) and no brake dust so no acid or more powerful cleaner needed...

I used an acid to clean my wifes neglected SUV (in the street) and the (think Meguirs) acid did a gr8 job...90% off.

cheers!

Just an update... Assassin made quick work of these today:

Brake Dust, Tar, and Road Grime... Nasty!!!:

After cleaning with Danase Assassin reduced 3:1 (with some brush agitation), rinsed, and then dried with OCW and a microfiber...

and finally... as topped with OOS:
