The porter cable is a fine machine and is very safe. Pull up You Tube and put something along the lines of "Porter Cable 7424" in the search and a few dozen videos will come up showing you how to polish properly with the 7424.
The kit has some pretty good items in it. My question would be, is 6.5 inches too big for the orange cutting pad? When polishing with a dual action polisher like the PC, to get the "cut" to remove swirls, you may need to push down on the PC to get a little more aggressive. If the pad is too large, it will bog down the PC. With a smaller pad (five inches or less), you can push down getting the cut you need but not bog down the polisher due to the smaller pad having less surface area.
You could probably give the kit a try and see how it does removing the swirls. I am sure it will improve them at a bare minimum. If you have some swirls left over and they were not improved enough to satisfy you, you could aways order a 4 inch orange pad from somewhere.

Being a noob, you may want to learn some more by reading on this forum and others and get some practice on you own car. I have been doing this for 1.5 years and I wouldn't say I know enough to start a detailing business.
what do you do first strip the wax??
Stripping the wax is optional but if you want to do it, there are some washes that will do it for you (Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Clear, Finish Care's 1119 Soil and Coating Remover/Wax and Detail Pre Cleaner or Auto International's A in the ABC products) or you can just spray some All Purpose Cleaner (APC) on the wetted paint before washing or mix the APC in the wash water.
then polish use swilr remover then seal the paint with like klasse sealent then use a good wax????
After using a swirl remover and a cutting pad like Poorboys SSR 2.5 and Lake Country's Orange Pad you will want to follow up with something milder like a finish polish and a polishing pad such as Poorboys SSR 1 and a Lake Country White Pad (I am purposely using the products in the kit you mentioned above).
After polishing, I like to wash the car before applying an AIO or glaze then my LSP whether that be a sealant or wax.
Again, I would really recommend spending some time on here and other forums reading and learning as much as you can before doing this for money.

Gotcha. I had assumed you have never picked up a polisher, sorry about that. Keep in mind with your car, Infinity's are known for really soft paint so you will want to start out with the polishing pad (such as the white pad) rather than the cutting pad (orange). The white pad with a compound may be enough to remove the Infinity's swirl marks. The orange pad my be over kill. If you use the white pad on a test spot and the swirls do not go away, you can always step up to the orange pad.

You're not a pain, your a noob.:)
I don't know if I would make clay an optional step. Getting bonded contaminents off the paint before polishing is very important. I clayed my car about two months ago and I needed to polish my car today, I would stay clay the entire car first.
You put two question marks next to wax. Is the question do you need a wax or what waxes to do I recommend. Do you need a wax, no. Will it give your car a better look, maybe, I really don't know. I have always used sealants but next spring I am tempted to try a wax over the sealant.
As far as good waxes that are inexpensive($15-$50): Danase Classic Wax, Poorboys Natty's Wax (all three Red, Blue or White), ClearKote Carnauaba Moose Wax, P21S 100% Carnuaba, Victoria's Wax,
($51-$100)Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax
($100+) Dodo Juice Supernatural, the various waxes sold by Swissvax and Zymol.

You can mix up brands all you want. The last time I did a full detail, here is what I used:
APC - P21S Total Autowash
Wash - Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss
Clay - Sonus Ultrafine Clay
Paint Cleaner - Sonus Paint Cleaner (this is an unnecessary step, I probably won't do this again, just trying to use up the rest of the product.)
Polish - Meguiars 105 Ultra Cut Compound on a Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool followed by Menzerna Super Intensive Polish on Edge Blue Wool followed by Menzerna Nano Polish on Edge White Foam (Keep in mind I used a rotary. I would probably not use this combo with a dual action polisher).
All-In-One - Jeff's Werkstat Prime
Sealant - Jeff's Werkstat Acrylic Jett
Glaze - Danase Wet Glaze.
Then put another coat of sealant on top.
I am always trying new products so that means I am using a half dozen different brands.
If you want to stay with the starter kit and add Danase Wet Glaze and Danase Paint Sealant and Danase Detailing Clay, you will be fine to do so. Like I said, I mix and match all the time.

If you want to use dish soap, OK, just don't make a habit of it with the same car over and over again.

Careful when purchasing "kits". They are often comprised of product that are not necessary, and when you though you were saving, you actually spent good money, on "nothing"......
Your best off seeking advice of products, then either finding a kit containing those products, or just purchasing them seperately.
