The new Shining Monkey Clay Bars are in. They are purple and 200 grams. We have them on clearance until they are gone for $9.00.

How big is the Shining Monkey clay bar compared to the Poorboy's one?

Like double the size. They are the exact same size as the ClearKote bar if you ever used that one.

My understanding of it is there are two types. Of course I only remember the one type being elasti type clay. I think that is correct. AWD330 please step in any time soon, so I don't insert my foot all the way into my mouth. I believe clay bars from Adam's, Poorboys are elasti type. The other type is like clay magic.

The nice thing about the elasti type clay is that they seem to be more pliable. I think that type of clay is made by Erazer. I did read some of this off of another site. SO DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS.

As far as I know, there are two clay manufacturers for the US market. One is Kucala (Erazer) and the other is Auto Wax (Clay Magic). Most other brands of clay are private label versions from one of these two companies.

FWIW - I like working with Erazer clays (Mother's, Poorboy's, etc.), but that is just a personal preference. You'll find many fans of each type of clay. Each manufacturer also makes various grades (strengths) of clay as well as different colors and bar sizes.

What would be a good lubricant for the Shining Monkey clay bar?

You must be busy Bob. It took you nearly 5 minutes to respond

I was thinking Shining Monkey Detailer would be good but I wanted to double check. Thanks for the info.
