View Full Version : What would you like to see?
What could we do to get you guys to post more? I'd REALLY like to see everyone posting here more. I'm going for that non-bias feel for these forums instead of a site ran by the top paying sponsors. I know we have a lot of good people over here and I'd like to get you guys posting more over here instead of other forums. so what do we need to do?

Simple how-to's with photos. Short sweet and to the point.
Maybe we can get a standard format going so they are all the same. It would make it easier to read and follow. Maybe 6 photos at the most. I lose interest reading long how-to's. Plus the people that need them the most are beginners and they get lost if it's too technical.
Maybe we could do them but have Bob post them so they are all in the standard format.
Just my 2 cents. :)
Sounds like a great plan!
I'd be able to do them all in the same format without problem.

I think I had posted my comments on improving the traffic a while back. This is not the only forum wondering how they can improve traffic.
1. You have to have people initiating posts (it is a chore to do but has to be done).
2. You have to have people responding to new people asking questions even if it is the same old question
3. You definitely need experienced and respected people providing good answers (more balanced the better).
4. You have to offer something unique to stand out especially when there are so many detailing forums. Plenty of how to's, etc. has been done.
5. You have to get the word out that you exist repeatedly. The question is how do they get here? Referrals, google, etc,
6. It can take time and effort by the owner to cultivate.
7. Sponsors: For example, what if AG was a sponsor or maybe get proper auto care since AG sponsors several? This is a two edge sword. They can stiffle discussion,
