Well I had the pleasure of meeting up with member: Wishihadatalon and his buddy Dave (I hope thats your name... i am bad with names).
We got a chance to get a few hours of paint polishing in on his '91 Talon that is in great shape for the year! I QEW'd the car and let them claybar the car. I busted out the PC and the cyclo and gave a very brief overview of the machine and a quick demo of "how-to". I then handed the PC to TJ. He kinda got wide-eyed like dont hand that to me :) I re-assured him that he doesnt have to worry about it, it is very easy to get the hang of it and it is not like the rotary. He picked it up and was good to go! We evaluted the paint after a spot with 2.5 and the PC. He wanted a better finish as there was still a lot of swirls and normal marring left. We started like an assembly line if you will. I grabbed the Dewalt and a polishing pad and the bottle of Menzerna Powergloss. Dave followed me with the cyclo with polishing pad and SSR2.5, and TJ followed him with SSR1 and the pc with a finishing pad.
As they were going around the car I started to throw a coat of Souveran on. I think it turned out good but there was a little marring left that didnt come out. I should have grabbed a cutting pad instead of a polishing pad, but I didnt notice that I had the wrong pad until AFTER they left :(
Anyways I was a good day and it was nice to meet some really cool guys.
Hopefully TJ can get a few pics up as my battery was dead in my camera.
It did have some really nice depth to the paint. It went from a shade of orange to a nice red again.
