This Saturday we are having a little get together and cruise through Hell, Michigan. Here is the post I copied from another site where we posted it. If anyone is interested let me know!
...........
Rules and Regulations:
1) Maintain a SAFE distance between you and the car in front of you.
2) Maintain a SAFE speed throughout the roads, the speed limits are posted for a reason.
3) There are numerous houses, bikes, joggers, etc. *share the road with others*
4) Overtaking vehicles should only be performed in a SAFE manner in a SAFE area. Lots of twisties here folks!
5) Wear your seat belt
6) Don't act like a jackass
..........
Common theme: SAFETY, I don't want an accident on our cruise day.
..........
I'll probably add some more basic rules as I think of them. However, I just want to stress that this isn't going to be a qualifying lap for Waterford Hills. We are setting this up as a CRUISE day, not a race day. Although the roads are fun and twisty, safety is the main concern. If you want to push your car to its limits, go on a different day. With that said, by signing up you are agreeing to the rules stated above.
..........
1) Jhilla68/Joe - Scion xB (maybe something else)
2) PolskAltima/Martin - Altima
3) Bob/Bob - Scooby 2.5RS
4) svtfocus219/Mikey - SVT Focus (maybe)
5) Switch/Matt - Miata (maybe)
6) Rabbits02SVT/Kevin - SVT Focus
7) ToxicJim/Jim - Talon (boosted)
8) RSXGreg/Greg - RSX type S (duh) (maybe)
9) 97 Ex/SiR/Dane - '97 Civic Ex/SiR

**UPDATE**
.
Meeting location:
.
Dexter-Huron Metro Park
6535 Huron River Drive
Dexter, MI 48130
.
Mapquest it from your departure location. Check the estimated drive time and plan accordingly.
.
Upon entering the park, there will be a small parking lot directly to the right of the admission booth, this is where we will be.
.
**You will have to purchase a day admission pass to the Metroparks if you don't own a yearly pass. I believe it's 4 bucks, but it will get you into both parks we are stopping at.
.
Meeting Time:
.
11:30 am
.
If you aren't here at the time stated, we will leave without you. There will be a small grace period, but I can assure you, we aren't waiting around all day.
.
We will be providing directions, however one of us will be leading and it'll be a follow the leader type of thing. At the end, we will ask for the directions back. We are only giving them out in case someone gets separated which shouldn't happen.
.
At the final location, we are leaving it up to you on what you want to do. There will be bbq pits available if you are so interested. At this time, we do not plan on having a formal bbq.
.
The final destination is at:
.
Hudson Mills
8801 N. Territorial Road
Dexter, MI 48130
.
You will need to mapquest directions back to your home or whatnot because we have people coming from different directions. I can tell you that if you head out of the park and make a right, you'll hit US 23 about 6 or so miles down the road.
.
The actual "cruise" is about 70 miles so this will take a good couple of hours including the "rest" areas. Please fill up your tank prior to meeting at the first park and eat if you so desire.
.
**We do not have a set rest area to eat** Ice cream and other snacks are readily available at two of the stops however.
.
Any questions, please pm myself, "jhilla68" or "Bob"

I just looked at a map and was wondering what the main route is comming to/from hell?

And how twistie are the twisties??? I might need to adjust my rear sway to give me a little more stiffness...

It mainly depends on the weather this week and where the g/f will be playing softball

We sort of go all over. I don't have the map with me though.
I have my rear bar set to the stifest setting and a little bigger front bar. Some of the turns are quite sharp but this is not a race so you should not have to worry about them too much. ;)

Bob-

Are you driving alone? Want a co-pilot? Just figured I'd ask since I'm on the way to the event for you. No pressure, just askin.

Here are Joe's pics from the day

I had a blast, I think we will revise the route a bit for next time to make it a tad bit longer and better.
The red Integra is Steve's, wifehatescar, and the dog is his too. Was nice to meet the people I have never met in person before and nice to see you that I have not seen in a while.
