This weekend I had a chance to take the upcoming DGW 2.0 for a test drive and I must say this stuff is awesome. For those of you who loved the original version, this is a great improvement. Hard to imagine one could improve on the original version since it was already hard to beat, but this new stuff does. So like the original, you can use it as a base, a topper, or in between, but I decided to put it as a topper to get a better sense. I did the entire car, but on the hood I did half and half to compare to the original. Please note that the finish on my car is not perfect as I have not polished it in about a year. The car had two layers of Gloss It Finish that I applied two weeks ago. I was in a hurry, so I only took a few pics, which are not the best since it was a very bright and sunny day.

Consistency: Thicker than the original version, so not a liquid. This is more like the consistency of a medium polish.

Scent: The sample I got did not have a scent added yet, but I hear it won't have the same scent as the original, but it is supposed to be good.

Color: Still purple, but darker than the original.

Application: I applied via DA with a blue LC pad. It was very easy to apply, but not as easy as the original since it is thicker, so some areas required a second pass for full coverage. However, I found that a couple of nickel size drops just kept spreading, so I was able to cover two doors on my ES 350. You can actually cover more area with less in comparison to the original version, even when doing a second pass at times.

Removal: This one surprised me as I expected removal not to be as easy as the original due to the consistency, but it was actually a lot easier. I did the entire car, then the wifey called me for breakfast, so I had to go in. Fifteen minutes later I went to remove it with a microfiber towel and the darn thing came right off.

Finish: This stuff is amazing. In comparison to the original, V2.0 is more slick and adds more wetness, depth and gloss. The clarity of V2.0 is also more noticeable. One huge difference between V2.0 and the original is that the original brightened the paint, while V2.0 darkens and adds more warmth.

Here are some pics. Notice the glass like reflections on the side mirror.

Thanks guys. I have not even polished it in over a year, but it has only some minor swirls on it. The DWG 2.0 really made the paint nice.

I think this will surprise many people on white, it will actually add some depth to white and on black it's amazing with a nice carnauba if you are looking for a deep wet look but still looks nice with sealants. The wet look shows on all colors very well.

Yes it will work great by hand, especially after 2 coats the look will improve. Since it is a little thicker you may have to apply a little more on the first panel (2 nickel size drops) but once it starts spreading you can really cover a good size area.

Sorry I haven't been around much but when I get ready to release the Wet Glaze I will start a new thread on it and answer all questions and do a full write up explaining the product.

This is my busiest time of year so I am trying to play catch up everyday and work on this as well but I expect to have it up and ready in a few weeks. Also forum members will have a chance to get a free bottle :D More on that later.....
