View Full Version : Nanotechnology
We see this technology in the some of the products we use already such as windshield treatments, sealant coatings, interior protectants, etc. I think these are interesting videos although you may think they're boring :D

Dave,
Those clips were very interesting. I have two long-sleeve dress shirts that must use that technology in their fabric. They are stain free shirts. If you wash your hands while wearing the shirt any water that splashes on the cuffs runs right off just like in the carpet video above. I have spilled coffee on one of them and it beads up just like a new coat of wax on your car.
The shirts have been washed numerous times and they respond to liquid like day one. Not sure if it's the same Nanotechnology or something different.
Thanks for sharing that.

Not sure if it's the same either (maybe a variant of it) but sounds interesting. I have a kit on the way that I am going to use and will be testing on fabric as well as other automotive surfaces.

I'm keeping an eye out for nanobots on DF lol.
The future of nanotechnology is actually kinda scary considering it's potential. It can be used in a lot of different ways such as electronics, medicine (DNA) car care products, etc.

Can you imagine what graffiti artists would think if they approach a subway or railroad car or a side of a building that had been treated with nanotechnology? The spary paint would immediately slide off onto the ground.
That would be a plus although they might get mad and do something else. We have a bad graffiti problem here, so bad that some of the local businesses actually started paying these fools to do some "art" on the side of the buildings.
