I only detail a small number of cars, so I use a small 2 gallon shop vac. Based on a recommendation from another forum, I picked up a Rigid nozzle from Home Depot which is specifically made for vacuuming car interiors. It really does work well. It comes into 2 sizes for standard small and large Shop Vac hoses.
I use a big Rigid but was looking at the smaller car vacs I have seen on detailing sites. The Rigid is great but gets in my way a lot.

Ok, so i have 2 of them...A large old 5hp craftsmen i think it is. and then a small 2hp yellow one. Neither of them seem to work the greatest..
I want one that will suck my carpet off the floor of my car...
But for my floor mats i will shake them out a little then take them inside my house and throw them on the plus carpet and get the house vacuum and set it to bare floors or really short carpet (depends on your vacuum) and then that gets them super clean...
What is a good vacuum for <$100 that will get my interrior super clean??

I have two of them: a 9 gallon Rigid and 1 gallon Shop Vac. I still need to get an attachment for the Rigid though...
