I enjoy certain movie genres more than others. I'll watch almost anything that's scifi related or thrillers (love those 1950's B-movies). I like comedies too. I tend to steer clear of the real heavy dramas or "chick flicks".
If I had to name some favorites titles, I'd have to say the "Alien/Aliens" for scifi, Hitchcock for thrillers, and anything from the Zuckers ("Airplane") or Monty Python for comedies.

I like the Monty Pythons too.
The Princess Bride is a pretty good movie, even though it seems to be more towards kids, it has lots of things that make you go "Hmm." if you think a bit about it. :P
Some of the Mel Brooks movies are pretty funny (in the stupid, overdone "groaner" type of funny) like Spaceballs and Young Frankenstein. The movies by Hal Needham (Cannonball Run, Smokey and the Bandit, etc.) are also some fun, yet "low brow" humour type movies.
I also liked the first trilogy of Star Wars.
Indiana Jones trilogy.
Caddyshack (Mostly the Bill Murray sections-actually, many of Bill Murray's movies are pretty good. I even liked Groundhog Day.)
Gee... It seems as though I haven't really liked anything from the last 2 decades! Well, I guess my age is showing a bit.
