My website and online Yellowbook add are both up. I wanted to see what you guys thought. The only thing that has to be done is to finish the rate sheet. It's up in pdf form right now but, by web guy is spicing it up for me. When it's done it will be good enough to take to a printer to use for fliers. The Yellowbook add is what it is. I really just wanted to get my number in the book and since I use a cell as my main line I had to pay for a listing.

How has the yellowbook listing been working for you? I've been listed in the top spot of the Yellowpages online for over two years and only one person has said they found me through the add there.

Same goes here. It was definitely the least profitable of the all my advertising efforts. I've had all of my online customers come directly from my website and it being linked to Google places. Google ad words was a dud, after using a $100 gift card from them I had very few hits and no actual contact. The best advertising dollars spent so far have been with a local direct mail news magazine, The Current. It cost me $97 for a business card size add in two of their publications with a total circulation of 30k homes and businesses. Most of my business comes from drive byes, I'm on a busy corner, and word of mouth.
I'm probably going to drop mine and concentrate on advertising for the store more. In some ways I'm competing against the same people I sell supplies to.
