View Full Version : Spray & Gloss vs QD+

I just received some of the Spray & Gloss a while back and really like it. As I try to wipe our vehicles down everyday to keep them looking nice and found that it is good theropy after a hard days work as well. Well anyways I was looking on Poorboys website and saw that they also have a QD+. Anyone know the diiference :?: As I think the Spray & Gloss really does add a little extra shine.

Key difference is that QD+ contains carnuaba and S&G doesn't.

QD+ and S&G are really two completely different products.

S&G is a thin liquid that is misted on a panel, spread, and immediately wiped off. It leaves a very slick feeling surface with a high gloss appearance. It can be used to remove dust and fingerprints, but heavier dirt should be deferred to S&W or a regular wash.

QD+ is a spray wax with a lotion type of consistency. It's thick enough to cause problems with many types of sprayer heads. It's best applied by spraying onto a towel/applicator/pad, spreading very thinly onto a panel, waiting a few minutes to dry, and then buffing off with a fresh towel. It leaves a very satiny appearance and will also extend the life of a carnauba LSP. Think of it as a very light liquid carnauba wax. It should NOT be used as a conventional quick detail spray. Use it on a clean (washed/S&W'd/QEW'd) surface.

Darn you people are good, now I understand, the QD thru me off. It sounds like it is not what I want to use like I use the S & G. Ok so then looks like I will be ordering a gal of the S & G soon. However it leads to another question :lol: Sounds like you liked it and gave good reviews on the product, however I do not see it for sale in your store. Maybe just hard to inventory to many products ? As it does sound like a product that would be nice to have on hand. Thanks everyone for you input and help.

QD+ is in the process of being reformulated for VOC compliance, so many distributors are presently in an "out of stock" situation. There has also been talk about renaming the revised product to avoid confusion about the product's intended usage (a spray wax, not a QD).
