We are thinking of putting together some sort of starter kit for detailers. The kit would include a bunch of different products for the people that are going to get started in the business. It would be a great kit for smaller businesses and mobile detailers. When you all started, did you go with a starter kit of some sort? If not, would a starter kit of helped?

I think i would buy a starter kit for my personal use if it included:

Soap
swirl remover
wax
touch ups
tire cleaner
glass cleaner
rim cleaner
bug/tar remover
wash mit
tire mit/brush
bug brush
microfiber towels (misc. sizes/plushes) (about 10 towels total)
Window microfiber
and an interrior cleaner
Clay bar + Clay Lube

Have different levels but included most of that and i think that i would have purchased that instead of the misc. orders that i have placed...

Maybe for around 100-150 bucks and they will sell like hot cakes

You just gave me a great idea! We should have different levels of starter packages. Like, one for the weekend warrior and one for a full blown detailer that would detail a few cars a day or so.
Thanks!

How would these proposed starter kits differ from the kits already offered for the various product lines? Would they be some sort of combination of product lines?

Too many kits might result in a lot of confusion. Just my 2 cents.

Well, these kits would be designed, if they even happen, for the person wanting to start off in the professional market and needs bigger quantities. IF we do one it will probaby be mostly 4* Professional line.

Ahhhh. In that case, I suppose I'd recommend one with quart sized products plus a certain bulk quantity of applicators, wash mitts, and towels (a variety of MF towels plus some "rags"). A second kit could contain gallon sized products with 2-3 times the quantity of applicators/mitts/towels. You could also offer bulk pricing on buffer pads when buying a half dozen or a dozen pieces at a time (buyer's choice of pad texures).
