View Full Version : Poorboy's Bug Squash
I used this last night on my Impreza. It was the first time I got to use it on a heavily bug filled car where the bugs sat for a week before I got to cleaning it. I used it full stregth just because the bugs were so bad. I was very impressed. I sprayed it on the car, let it sit for a minute and hosed it off. Then repeated. 90% of the bugs were off before I even began to wash the car. Something else I did was spray this on the entire car and rinsed it off because the car was really filthy. It got rid of A LOT of dirt just by doing that. I am not sure but I think this stuff might be able to be used like a QEW is used. If anyone tried that out let me know!

Steve has said that a 3:1 dilution of Bug Squash would work very well as a pre-wash. However, that seems to imply that a follow-up wash and rinse would still be required. With QEW, there is no rinsing required.

I wonder if you could use it without rinsing though since it is so slick?

Sounds like a question for Steve's chemist. If even it can't be used as a QEW substitute, it would still be nice to be able to spot treat areas without having to immediately wash.

We'll have to get him over here to let us know. :)
Hmmm... I might have to get me some of this if I ever get another car worth washing ;-) There's so many bugs out by me! You can wash the car up, head out for a few minutes and come back with the whole front end covered.

Yes, this is where all the bugs came from! Right down the road from you at Roberts Road and Jefferson!
