Well i am usually sympathetic to these sort of disasters. I mean it is horrible what happens, esp this one because it was on our homeland. I have had no choice but to listen to all the talk every day all day on the radio and news, and have realized a few Key Points that i wonder about.

-Why the hell was the national guard and red cross not prepared monday morning when they knew the force that this hurricain was bringing in?
-Why did it take Bush till Wednesday to assemble a meeting to see how the hell they were going to fix this?
-New Orleans is BELOW sea level and the walls (dunno their real name) that are to prevent this flooding were only built to handle a Level 3 hurricane..WHY ONLY A 3 AND NOT SOMETHING MORE POWERFUL???
-Why was the evacuation not handled more smoothly with busses, trains, boats and the such to get people out of there instead of piling them in a FOOTBALL STADIUM that turned into a rape, murder and poverty fest?

I commend all the people who have helped and donated to the cause. But from what i am seeing on tv with the Looting of TV's and the such i find it unbelieveable. WHAT DO YOU NEED A TV FOR THERE IS NO FRICKEN POWER!!!!!! I understand going in for water and food..but come on!!!! Also the guns and violence...seriously people you are making it easier for us to say bring in teh cement mix and lets bring this above sea level! There is the story of a man walking out of walmart with the GUN and boxes of ammo he just stole and blowing a cops face appart...Does this think that it will make me want to come help your sorry ass? NO THANKS!

Now my g/f has family that lived down there and i am actually going to meet them saturday/sunday as they came up here to be with family and stay out of that chaios. They do not know if they have a house or anything down there..I feel sorry for them, they most likely have lost EVERYTHING! Wedding pictures, all their records of everything. They were not in New orleans but in that area. The good people who mind their own business and are trying to help even tho they have nothing i feel sorry for. People who stayed and are now bitching about the fact that they have nothing and lost their wife and kids, i feel bad, but why not try and get the hell out!

Well i think that is about all i have to say on this topic as of now, but what are your opinions of all that has been going on down there. I know this is Kinda Political and i want it to stay clean which should be easy with the few people that i expect to post in here. But i want to know if i am the only one who kinda thinks that way up ^there

Yeah, I feel really bad for the people that lost everything and for the ones that have to deal with gun waiving maniacs. We are donating a bunch of car wash supplies to an Army base so they can do a fund raiser car wash for the victims of the hurricane.

I agree with you about why didnt they call a national emergency when this thing was out to sea. Thats the part that burns me up  here we are with all this technology and we cant warn people like hey you better evacuate.According to the news the engineers have been complaining for years to update those levees. It came down to the good old $$ and congress didnt grant them enough to do it.
