A recent thread on another forum caused me to wonder just how many people have melted and made their own waxes? Does anybody mix any other products for your "secret recipes"?

I have to admit I now have 2.5 oz. of P21s+Natty's+Megs #16 in an old wax jar. I have yet to try it but I hope to have some pics of it soon.

I've never melted any products together, but I will occassionally mix liquids together. I usually only chance this with non-volatile types of products like QDs. My regular QD is a custom mixture of S&W and Meg's Final Detail (3:1).

Lets put it this way...I failed chem. 121 in college but...wax melts really easy together :D I used a mason jar inside a pan with water in it (mason jars are submerged in boiling water during canning so I knew the heat wouldnt break it). I was surprised there was no smoking or any vapors coming off the wax it melted, i stirred and turned off heat.
I guess the things I do when it is freezing cold and snowing.

Maybe I'll give it a try one of these days. I have quite a few paste waxes sitting around. I just don't have that ambition thing right now. :D

God god man you having a heat wave. Looked at temp this morning and it was -4. Ambition didn't go out the window because I'm to afraid to open it.
