I was just curious what everyone likes to have in gallon form.

I buy several Poorboy's products by the gallon -

Spray & Wipe (5 gallon)
Spray & Gloss
Spray & Rinse
Bug Squash
Bold & Bright

I will probably buy Biodegradable All Purpose Cleaner by the gallon next. I might get gallons of Super Slick & Suds too, but I'm still trying to gauge how much product I actually use with my new foam gun. I'm also hoping that Steve will consider making a production version of his Wash & Wax that I liked so much as a prototype.

Sounds good. I am thinking of carrying Bold and Bright and Bug Squash by the gallons already. :)
Thanks!

Oops. Forgot about my 6 gal. of APC. (Waaaay too much for personal use, especially for someone as "tidy" as I, but it comes in handy for other peoples' "challenges.")

This is a good discussion for me. I have not sold much of the APC at all and I was wondering why. I wonder if everyone is buying it in large quantities and not the quart sizes.

IMO, I would say gallon is the best way to go for the carazy car enthusiast.

I might just have to carry more gallons! :) I remember when we first started out we were afraid we would not sell much gallons and now it seems like that is what I am selling the most of! :)

My general rule of thumb is to try to use up all products in less than 2 years. If I like a product and think that I would use up a gallon within that time frame, I will likely spring for the bulk container. Bulk rates are much cheaper in the long run. I'm also fortunate to have sufficient climate-controlled storage space to house all the containers.

Yes, that is very important to get them products from freezing and thawing over and over again.

I changed the title to ask what Products you buy by the gallon instead of just one manufacturer.

I buy APC's, carpet cleaners, spot removers and sometimes polishes (if avail.)in gallon sizes.

Well, I often buy glass cleaner concentrate in the gallons, as they are usually about the price of 2 - 16 oz RTU glass cleaners, and you can get gallons of cleaner from the concentrate. (various mfrs.)
QD's-I use one after each wash on every car I do, and again, usually around 2-3X the 16oz. price.
Apc's-Again-concentrate, better cost factor, better able to "tailor mix" to your needs.
As to the polishes, waxes, sealants... I try waaaay too many "new and improved ... Better than anything you've ever seen!" stuff to actually need more than a 16 oz. bottle of something at a time. Even if I decided to stick to only 1 brand, I don't think I'd use up more than 1 or 2 jars of wax a year, and maybe 1 or 2 16 oz. bottles of each polish. (I'm not a pro. I do only around 15-20 cars a year.) At this rate, I'd keep buying on a yearly basis so I'd have "fresh" stuff and would also be able to try out the new stuff that a company brings out.
