View Full Version : waterless wash ?
curious to know how well the waterless wash works.Live in Ma.with the winters of snow and ice and that brings sand and salt,So spraying it on and wiping off with mf towel,I would think it would bring scratches,Maybe I am missing something Thanks Dano
Dano,
The waterless washes are not really meant for heavy dirt or heavy salt. They do the best on very lightly dirty vehicles. Like if I wash it one day and it rains the next I would use mine to clean it up again. But if the saly is really caked on I would recoomend the Quick Easy Wash QEW.
If waterless washes worked on heavy dirt/salt then there would no longer be a such thing as a traditional car wash soap
Can I spray on the qew and hose off
Can I spray on the qew and hose off
You mean without touching the paint with anything? It would not be very effective as a spray on spray off sort of thing.
Plus, using a hose defeats the whole point of QEW. Dano, just go with a regular, two-bucket wash with a normal car wash shampoo and a mitt.

I have been using Optimum No Rinse on very dirty cars without any marring issues at all. One particular car was a black 2000 S500 MB. I was very reluctant to do so, however, the car was suffereing from a tremendous amount of water stains and other scratches, so I knew this was a good test vehicle. After using the wash, I noticed absolutely no further marring.
Consider the Optimum No Rinse as Absolute Lubricity - Suds Optional! LOL!!!! It is true and I have switched over to this product as my main wash.

How dirty was this car? Was the stuff really that good? I just got a sample of some DP 4in1 and can't wait to try it out, but I don't want to trust it on a really dirty car.........
