dude, NOT the right forum for that. Search Autopia and you will find tons of answers to your questions.

dano,
Personally I have never used it. I know some people on these forums have so maybe they will respond. There are a lot of people on autopia.org that have used that line though.

Heavy heavy solvent content product line, the stuff stinks worse than any other lineup, I would be afraid to light a match near it. 2180 is easy to use but is nothing special, and they lie about it's durabilty. It is ok in durabilty department, but you will not get 6 or even 4 months from it. Their decontamination system is a joke, clay is way better and 50 times cheaper. It simply doesn't do what they say, severe contamination can only be taken out with clay IME. One word Gimmick. Their Pink and HI Temp paste leave a deep wet surface but are harder to use than CG's stuff or p21s. A lot of people like 425 detailing spray, but I haven't tried it because the products that I have tried were not good enough to get me to order again. There is something cool about Pink wax, but p21s is head a shoulders better. I'm not bashing fk1 at all, it is a decent line and I see why people like it, but there are way better products out there.

Dano I would just suggest trying it. What one person likes may not be what you like and vice versa. I have only tried their detailing spary #425 and must say I love it! I spray down my car with it and it repells some dust not as much as they may market but good enough. I love it and it smells like bubble gum almost. It also came with a free sample of their Hi Temp wax which at some point I guess I will use (I have too many LSP's to try right now). Anyway I'm thinking of trying some of their other products. I was also considering trying their sampler. I always love getting the samples of products that way if I hate it I'm not stuck with a lot of unused product that I will never use again. If you are looking for a detailing spray I recommend #425, I don't think I'll be using too many others from now on.

I have to disagree with HillBrook because I think FK products are one of the absolute bests and they are most definitely the top of my collection. When you look at my LSP list, I got plenty.

Hill's other impressions sound strange for me because I have totally different experiences, but YMMV.

Good advice Bence. Like I said before just try the sampler pack. That's always the best way to try a product. You don't spend as much and you don't too much product. That way if you don't like it you are wasting less mone and product. If you do liek you can then order the full size. If it were up to me I'd be getting samplers of other products. Hey Bob do yow know if Chemical Guys, PoorBoy's and Clearkote offer sampler packs? They each several products I want to try but I don't want to go nuts buying full sizes of each product I want to try.

I agree with Bence on this....some very good product that works a bit differently than others, but the learning process is half the fun and in the case of FK1 well worth it.

Shermann8r44.....what, are you the sensor police or something around the forum ?
I do not think the question was out of line, and if it was the forum moderator (BOB) would have said something.

Geez.

1. BOB doesn't sell Finish Kare. Therefore, this is not a very appropriate forum for that. dano was registered on Autopia, so I told him to try his luck there.

2. Get my username right before you go chastising me.

3. It's spelled "censor".

Geez.

Shermann8r4...I ask again, who empowered you to monitor what is said around here ?
Read Bobs response above to Dano, and I quote, "some people on these forms have so maybe they will respond".

Hardly sounds like he was offended by talk of a product he does not sale.

And, before you critique me on spelling, look at your location description dork. What kind of ebonics language is that all about ?

Peace !

Come on fellas, lets not fight.
These forums are for you to discuss whatever products you want to whether I sell them or not.

FK products are terrific, but like all others, they have certain issues we have to deal with. I use FX-100 (spray wax) and FK-425.

425 is a terrific QD, without a doubt. It gives tremendous shimmer to the paint. My only peeve with it is that I haven't found it to be very slick. Paint looks phenomenal under it, but to the touch, the surface feels flat. But that is just to the touch only, of course; the eyes absolutely love it!

FX100 has horrific product separation issues. Mine sits for 30 minutes before all the wax rises to the top of the bottle. But a quick and vigorous shake, and it's all one big happy family in there again

That said, FX100 gives incredible results on my brand new brilliant red 350Z. I found it to streak when used with an applicator, so now I use it much like a QD (on a freshly washed surface of course!); just spray on and buff right off. This past weekend, I did the same and then went to the movies. Under the theater parking lot's lighting, I could see some hazing on the front left fender and part of the door. I had obviously over-applied FX100 there and had I noticed at home, a quick MF towel pass would have removed it. Upon reaching home, I did a once-over with 425 and the surface became even shinier :D

What I love about FX100 is that it gives the paint an amazing personality. The depth you get with it is unmatched by QDs. It's tough to explain, but the FX100 just has an immediate look of being "on". The surface is incredibly slick to the touch and the depth and shimmer are remarkable to say the least. The paint looks like it just received a spa treatment...I don't know how else to describe it! :-k

My 425 has almost run out, so I will likely give CK's QD a try, just to see how good that one is.

Also, FK provides the greatest bang for the buck I've seen. Their bottles are humongous!
