This will be a short review cause I'm at work
SynWax-
Very impressive for a $7 otc sealant. Smells like lemon, goes on great with a PC (thickish white cream) and comes off -real- easy assuming you put it on thin (this is the best part). Very clear and sharp look (EXP-ish). Horrible bottle
425-
Too much hype for this one, did not WOW me. I can't tell it's "anti-static" (car still gets dusty easy) and no more slick than other products. It clears out easy though and look good. Smells like bubble gum. Will be a hard choice between this and S&G for my refill of QD.
Meg's Interior Detailer-
Good value at $5 otc! Like 1Z CP, this does not leave the surface with much of a look besides "clean". I like it though because you do not have to be anal getting 100% perfectly even application like a normal glossy dressing. Great for a weekly wipdown on a maintained interior. Good fine mist sprayer, decent scent (not offensive but not great) Did I mention it's cheap???
Cliffnotes: OTC products sometimes impress as much as boutique products.

Nice reviews!
I really like how easy Synwax is to remove too!
425-only used once, so can't really confirm nor counter.
Meg's - Well, it's over $10.00 a bottle in Canada (as expected from Megs Canada  ) so I haven't tried it, nor do I expect to any time soon.
Oh yeah, and you're right, the Synwax bottle isn't very user friendly. :?

I like the SynWax too. Reallly easy to use. Not too sure on durabality. The cap design really, really sticks. The product always drips on the top and down the side. As for the Megs Interior detailer- that leaves no protection behind correct? I wonder if you put on NL or 303 on and do the Megs a week or 2 later if it would remove the NL or 303? Any input? Thanks for the review
PS thanks for your input on 425. Now I can save my $$. S&G and S&W do the job for me 8)

On the MID, it says it protects...probably not much though. I think it does leave -something-, but hardly. If you apply to one section, it does not look much different. All I know is when I'm done itlooks good to me and it's cheap enough to use excessively if I wanted to. 303 and NL are too shiny on black for me. By the time my dash fades, it will be in a junk yard anyway.
Thanks for all the reviews! As you said, Meg's IQD is supposed to leave some UV protection down. I think it would be better used as a maintenace product after an initial coat of something like 303. Also, just remember that anti-static means that it resists a build-up of static charge, so it doesn't ATTRACT as much. That does NOT mean that it will REPEL dust, so don't ask too much of the stuff. Oh, and also remember that most QD's have an anti-static additive, they just don't market it as boldly as FK.

Well it still seems to attract as much dust as any other QD. I was expecting it to on some level at least be noticeable.

Most other QD's are also anti-static...

....Well, how about this...I think it collects the same amount of dust a just a layer of carnauba wax.
Point is that it's main selling point is the anti-static poperties, which IMO it did not impress me in that area.

In all fairness I wouldn't say that the anti static properties is #425's main selling point, but it is one of several selling points made by the company. It certainly is hyped on the forums though. I have noticed reduced dust on my computer and tv screens when cleaned with #425 but I'm not sure how, or if, that relates to my car. I like, and use S&G, S&W, Quick Shine and FK1 #425. My wife has found my #425 and has been using it around the house with great results especially on windows and mirrors and in the kitchen.
Anyway, thanks for your reviews. It's always interesting to see what everyone else is using in their process and how well (or not) that it works for them.

I always find my car a perfect test for most products since it's black. I've only used the 425 and I must say it is a good product. I wasn't wow'd either but its worth trying. I found that the car was slick and shiney after a spray down. I also noticed though that when I looked at it after a day after i had applied it, the car looked a lot better and slicker. I was satisfied and for the money 425 is a great QD. The only QD that has wowed me really is the Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal( I guess it isn't really a QD but close enough). I haven't found anything with that kind of result. Zaino QD is good too. I plan on tryin out Clearkotes quick shine which according to the desciption should be great. Look at what it claims:
Will not leave fingerprints. Anti-static properties repels dust.

Consider trying an even more substantial spray sealant like UPPS...you may find you like it more than Z8. The Chemical Guys QD's are also anti-static, as well as most QD's out on the market (even if it's not advertised.

Thanks for the suggestions Sherman8r44. I may have to look at the CG QD and the UPPS. What do they go with other than their own line of products?

Sorry, but I don't understand what you are asking...are you asking what LSP's they are compatible with? If so, UPPS, CG Synthetic Detailer, and CG Speed Wipe can all be used on cars with polymer sealants on them. CG Pro Detailer is by far the best for carnauba finishes, but the other two CG QD's can be used as well with no problems. I have an explanation of the CG QD's in the Product Discussion Forum. :)
