This car was very rewarding but very time consuming and challenging. Owner is a super nice guy named Tom from Dearborn. The pictures pretty much tell the story...
Process was Powergloss on rotary
IP on rotary
FPII on the PC
Zaino x3

Also, I took the wheels -off- and spent 2 hours on them with Tarminator, OP, and PB's Wheel Sealant.

Check out this hologramming I made with the IP half way through the detail! Now's that's skill

LOL I assumed that was just polish that hadn't been removed yet!

Nah, I just suck on the rotary I guess  Actually, the PC cleans up any of that so it doesn't matter either way.

Looks great, man what a sweet Porsche. Looks like I'm not the only person who has trouble with the dusting from IP/Powergloss. I tried mixing IP with ClearKote RMG. Reduced the dusting significantly and increased the time I can work the polish. I only did a panel on my car. I'll probably do the whole thing. What did you use to remove all that dust? Hopefully I can get my IS300 to look as swirl free as that Porsche.

Thanks
Just used S&W on a MF.
I'll have to try some VM in my PG. PG is really gummy by itself, so much abrasives it really grabs on the paint.

I may have to buy some PG, I wish Bob carried the Menzerna line. :) Do you reccommend the PG wifhatescar? I currently own IP, PO106FF and FPII from Menzerna line. I wouldn't mind adding another polish to the arsenal (buying of products is getting out of control for me now).

Does anyone know how the cuts of CG CGC-3 and PB SSR3 compare to PG?

Well, in general I really like Menzerna. All I know is PG on the rotary with a polish pad is as agressive as I go, it is very effective but does leave haze, especially on black. Bad part is, you have to buy 32oz which is enough for 20 badly swirled cars.

Also, I like the SSR's more on the PC whereas I use the rotary only for IP and PG. Hope that helps.

Hey quick update I bought the PG and mixed it with RMG (about 30%) last nite. Damn the PG is sweet does a great job even with my PC. I used a pretty aggressive yellow pad. It took out this fine scratch I coulnd't get out with the IP. I'm going to try it on a few other portions of my car. I'll take some before and afters. I'm liking Menzerna line. At some point I'll try their glaze and FMJ. In the meantime I'm happy with what i got. :)
