Has anybody tried or have the Viking Wool Wash and Polish Mitt? How soft is it? How is the marring situation with it? Does it hold up well after many washes?
I'm in the market for some new mitts, just curious where the Vikings lined up. I currently use Eurows. Thanks for any help!
I have one, but I haven't used it yet. All I can tell you is that it's VERY soft.
I currently use the LCM round mitt. It's excellent if you're okay with synthetic mitts, and it's easy to care for.

I'm all for anything that is soft, does a good job and doesn't induce any marring :). All of the stores locally don't carry anything good anymore, just chenille and microfiber mitts. Nothing that would work up to my standards. Would the synthetic one last longer than the wool? My wash routine part of detailing I think is my low point so I'm trying to work on that.
I haven't used the wool yet, but I imagine the synthetic would last much longer. It gets plenty of abuse from me, and it doesn't care. Plus, you don't have to do any "inside-out" drying or anything...it stays soft regardless. It is definitely soft and gets the job done, but it can take some coaxing to get it to release grime.

I love my exceldetail aussy sheepskin wool mit it's extremly soft. Almost didn't want to use it it was soft soft and pillow like, I'm not sure if there is a standard on how long they last being that they are real sheep skin. It can last a month or a year there is no controll over that but well worth the $$ I will continue to use it and purchase other when needed.
Okay, I just got around to trying the Viking wool mitt. It's SUPER soft, and it seems to do an excellent job. Only thing I don't like is that it has a thumb, so it's not reversable.

Just switch hands ;)
I know, but I'm not as fast with the left...I'm not all that ambidextrous.

Thanks for the info Sherman8r44. Since I don't put my hand in the mitt the thumb issue isn't a problem. As long as they are soft and don't marr I'm happy
