View Full Version : Foam Gun Shampoo

I'm trying to determine the optimal (foam, slickness, gentle cleaning ability, etc.) car wash shampoo to be used with my foam gun. What has been everyone's experience, both positive and negative? I was thinking of trying Four Star Ultimate Auto Wash Shampoo or Poorboy's World Super Slick and Suds Wash. Thoughts or suggestions? :?:

Bob, What is your preference between the two, and would the carnauaba in the 4 Star Wash + Wax have any downside if you were just using a sealant like 4 Star UPP or EXP as your LSP?

If I was going to wash the car and then rewax or seal it I would use Four Star Professional Car Wash Concentrate, in the blue bottle.
But if you are just washing the car and already have a coat of the UPP or EXP Either one would be fine. I am not sure I have a preference. I use them both all of the time. If you want I have a sample bottle of the Four Star Wash + Wax. If you had an order or something I could send it to you with the order.

Super Slick and Suds is a great, super-foaming wash, and IMO CG Maxi-Suds is just as good. You can't go wrong with either, but you can get a gallon of Maxi-Suds for less than a quart of SSS. Four Star Wash + Wax sounds interesting too.......

Just when I thought I had this sorted out you've thrown me a curve with the new Danase Foaming Car Wash. How does this product compare (slickness, lubricity, foam, etc.) to the CG Maxi-Suds, Four Star Professional Car Wash Concentrate, Poorboy's World Super Slick and Suds Wash, or the Four Start Wash + Wax? Was this developed specfically for foam gun use? By the way congratulations on your new product lines. :D

The Danase Foaming Car Wash is almost identical to Maxi Suds. It was not designed just for Foam Gun use but I have a few people that have tried it in a foam gun and seemed very happy with it. :)

What sort of updates where you looking for jauto98? Or are you just looking for people who have used both?

Correct! Just seeing how it compares with SS&S. For the price, you can't beat it. I hope it is as slick as SS&S and produces a pretty good amount of suds.

BodyWash is VERY similar to PB SS&S :wink: other than smell, color and price; Danase' foaming wash is rather similar too but I guess a sliight bit less gloss.

Cool! May have to try BodyWash. Do you use it in a foam gun? If so, what ratio is your mix?
