 Finally selling the subie, eh?
If my parents were even allowing me to have a car now, you KNOW that car would be mine. :D
I REALLY don't want to sell it but we REALLY need a truck.

LOL I understand. Did you decide on that '95 Sierra?

That possibility is still up there. My brother inlaw and myself got a small fishing boat this weekend so I would really like a truck to tow that with now too. Even though I lifted the back of the trailer up with the boat on it myself so he could get the wheels off. I still don't want to tow with the Impreza. LOL The only bad about the 95 is it is not an extended cab and I really want one. BUT, that price is right. We are going tomorrow to look at a new F-150 and if we have the time a new Silverado.

Are you still looking at the smaller trucks, like the Tacoma and Frontier?
Oh and of course, good luck selling the Subie. Everyone should know it's been meticulously taken care of.

I am still considering smaller trucks. Probably not the Frontire or Tacoma though. Most likely a Dakota or Colorado. See, I live in Metro Detroit so there are 1 million big three dealerships for every 1 import dealer. So we tend to get really good deals on the bigger trucks because all of these lots have 2 million F-150's from 2006 still sitting around and they need them gone. Where as the import places sold out of their 2006 alread. The Nissan dealer near me has one 06 Frontier left and the Toyota dealer has no 06 Tacoma's.

I would say buy what your neighbours built. Those other companies dont supply jobs in the detroit but the big 3 do.

He already got an F150.
You should introduce yourself in the INTRODUCTIONS forum...

Eh, the Ford Fuzion is built and assembled in Mexico. My Civic was assembled and built in Ohio. When will people understand that this is a global market? If other countries stopped buying from the Big Three because they where "imports" then the Big 3 would not last long.

True dat! A lot of Chrylser cars are built in Mexico and Canada. Half of GM's employees do not work in the United States. The Mercedes-Benz SUV's are built in Alabama, and Hyundai now has a plant in Alabama too. New Camrys are being built in Indiana while other Toyotas are assembled in 12 American plants.
Hell, half the engineers working for the Big Three are probably foreign!

Some of the top "UnAmerican" "American" cars are the PT Cruiser and Chysler 300 but if I was driving one of those I would be all set. Living in the land of the Big 3 sucks some times. A guy I work with is this Ex Marine guy. He has a Saturn and his wife has a Honda minivan. His neighbor is a laid off Ford employee. This guy used to come home bragging about sleeping all day on the job, drinking, leaving early, not showing up and then he loses his job and blames my coworker because he bought a Honda. It drives me nuts.
