I upgraded from the porter cable 7424 to the cyclo, but I don’t know how to use it. I only use poorboys SSR (1; 2; and 2.5). It only has one speed on it . If any one has experience using poorboys with a cyclo, please reply. Also does any one know if it works better for swirl removal than the porter cable 7424

I can't help you with the 'how to use' the cyclo but I have heard that the swirl removing properties of the cyclo is more efficient and also quicker than the PC 7424. Not sure how you use one but I'm guessing its the same as other polishers- either apply the product directly to the pad (pads for cyclo) or apply a bead of product on the surface and then work it in that way.

Thanks for the reply budman3. I used the cyclo today and it makes the porter cable 7424 seem like a toy. I have a black mustang and it took 95 % of the swirls off. I have a near flawless finish on the hood.
I'm sold on the cyclo for compounding.
First I used poorboys SSR2 with the yellow cutting pad. It left a lot of haze all over the hood. 2nd I used SSR1 with the green polishing pad and it got all the haze out. 3rd I used clearkote red machine glaze with a green polishing pad. 4th I used a white finishing pad with poorboys EX.
The result was a nearly swirl free hood.
Glad you like the Cyclo! It is an awesome tool!

Let me rephrase what I said. The cyclo is superior to the pc for swirl removal but you still need the pc. The cyclo leaves a light haze be hind almost makes your car look like a metallic color. You will need the porter cable to get it out. My hood wasn’t in the best of shape to start out with. It wasn’t until I did the trunk and side panels that I notice the haze. Car never looked better and I have been using the pc for about a year now.
(1) used the cyclo with yellow cut pad and SSR2
I used the porter cable for the rest
(2) yellow pad and SSR2
(3) white pad and SSR1
(4) white pad and clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze
(5) black pad and clearkote carnuaba moose wax
I hardly use my PC now that I have my cyclo.
