Today I get up and run to Tim Hortons for a coffee. Well, I was in my wife's Impreza. As I am leaving the drive thru this guy in an Explorer behind me yells..."Buy American!" So I give him the bird, what else am I going to do right? So I am going down Forst Street, this is a 4 lane divided highway for the most part. Out of nowhere this guy cut over (he is in the fast lane flying and I am in the slow lane getting ready to turn) 4 lanes and right in front of me locking up his breaks! I almost hit him. Then he just stays stopped. So I go to go around him and he tries to fucking hit me! Runs me off the road into the turn around lane! WTF?!?!?!?! Then he starts to get out of his truck so I waited for traffic to clear and cut over into a bank parking lot and cut through to Quarry and lost him down an alley. This dude was nuts!

Sensei, on xceedspeed, had a car keed while parked at Auto Alliance in Flat Rock. Auto Alliance makes the Mustang and MAZDA 6. They keted in something like "Jap crap".

A freind of mine works for Trenton Engine (Diamler Chryler) and used to drive a Honda and would walk 1 mile to work through the lot because he had to park it way far out so nobody would mess with it. LOL It sucks. Here is a story I just told in my classified add....

Some of the top "UnAmerican" "American" cars are the PT Cruiser and Chysler 300 but if I was driving one of those I would be all set. Living in the land of the Big 3 sucks some times. A guy I work with is this Ex Marine guy. He has a Saturn and his wife has a Honda minivan. His neighbor is a laid off Ford employee. This guy used to come home bragging about sleeping all day on the job, drinking, leaving early, not showing up and then he loses his job and blames my coworker because he bought a Honda. It drives me nuts.

Yup, my buddy's PT Cruiser is made in Mexico. That's a pretty funny story...I feel like whenever people say "buy American, save our workers" it's as if they need charity. The big 3 and its employees need to reevaluate their own performance. Maybe actually build a solid car or two...

(except for your F150 of course  )

It's where the "little" knowledge is a dangerous thing. People don't look into things very far, but get all in a tizzy to defend it to the end, yet won't listen to facts if they contradict their preconceived notions. Some "Jap crap" is made in USA. Some "American" cars are made in Korea etc. Even "Made in America" cars have many parts that are made elsewhere.

Oh well, sad to hear about your ordeal nonetheless.

I can't complain too much because my import was 100% made in Japan  I guess I'm dragging our economy down  I did buy it used though with 117k miles already.

The bad thing is you know this moron's TV and 99% of the other stuff in his house came from a place other than the USA.

But they probably had a US flag on the box! (Like Mirro started doing with their pans-Used to have the flag and "Made in America" under it. Now, they have ones made in China, but still have a US flag on the label. They just changed the words to "America's favorite."
Or the wording from Wal-Mart comercials here- "X% of our vendors operate within Canada." Well, "operate" isn't the same as "manufacture" or even "package." A company could have 1 part-time person that answers the phone to take orders or such. That still qualifies as "operating," doesn't it? :?
