This is what I like to do if I’m using the porter cable if you have noticeable swirls.
(1) I start out with an orange or yellow pad with SSR2. Work the polish in until almost invisible. I go at speed 5 or 5.5 . I put a couple pounds of pressure on the pc to help it cut better.
I like to use spray n wipe to wipe down my work area.
(2) Then to get rid of the haze I switch to a white pad with SSR1.
I go at speed 3.5 or 4, using light pressure
This will usually get a lot of swirls out. The pc doesn’t have a lot of cutting power so you won’t get all the swirls out but will make a big difference. I have also notice that ford clear coats are harder to cut into than honda clear coats. So if you have a ford car you might have to go at it a little more to get the swirls out.
