Just curious about everyones routine after it has stopped raining. What do ya'll do to prevent water spots, etc? I try to wash my truck the day after the rain stops and the weather man says that its not going to rain for the next few days. I have read where some people dry theirs after it rains. Here there is too much sand, flooding, and crap :( on the roads for me to even think of doing that. Thanks in advance

If the car isn't that dirty and it rains a S&W wipe down would be good. In my area we don't get too many water spots from rain...but hard water is another story.

Your only options are to wash it if its dirty, S&W if lightly dirty, or (if your brave) wipe with a MF towel if paint is completly clean and didn't drive anywhere. Thats about all that I can think of

Yeah I was thinking that rain water wouldn't be quite as bad as house water. I guess my water spots have came mostly from house water b/c where I start washing seems to dry first if I do not pay attention and keep it wet. I am steadily getting all the right supplies and products so I hope I can stop the water spots. If it rains and I drive then I am s.o.l. b/c it get nasty. How many waffle weave mf do you usually use to dry?

When you're washing you get spots because the soap dries on the car, not just the water. Rain will leave a lot more waterspots than regular house water. S&W, as Budman3 mentioned, is another good idea.

I use at least 2 waffle weave towels. I use one towel to get most of the water off. Then I use the 2nd towel to get the rest of it off. Drying seems to go faster this way.
